Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a wavelength tunable laser with dispersion tuning method, which uses dispersive cavity and mode-locking. An advantage of this method is that the system does not contain an optical filter to select one lasing wavelength so the system is not limited on tuning range and tuning rate by optical filter. In this paper, we report the wavelength tunable laser with dispersion tuning by mode-locking via cross gain modulation. The static maximum tuning range is 87.9nm and the maximum tuning rate is 200kHz.
