Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The natural exposure tests for three years at the site of Miyakojima island in Okinawa, which is the most corrosive area in Japan, were conducted and several level of corrosion was added to the messenger wire of twisted zinc-coated steel for the opt-fiber communication. The residual thickness of zinc and section area of steel were measured by using trial manufactured Eddy current testing (ECT) meter, and developed the corroded wire diagnosis method by non-destructive method. Then, SEM observation and EPMA analysis were conducted, and influence of the actual corrosion behavior to ECT signal become clear. Also, the estimation both of the residual thickness of zinc and section area of steel seems to be possible by using the evaluation of X-signal (V) and phase (degree).
