Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, the emissions of greenhouse gases by automobiles has become a major issue. In addition, the number of passenger cars is 57 million in Japan^<[1]>, and the concentrations of population in urban areas has lead to a lack of parking. Car-sharing is a car rental model in which people rent cars for a short time, for example, by the hour. Various sizes of gasoline vehicles have been recently used for car-sharing. However, car-sharing requires a car of suitable size to decrease greenhouse gases. In the present study, the reduction of greenhouse gases by the small-size EV was evaluated by car-sharing simulation. It has been shown that the amount of CO_2 emissions can be reduced to 1/5 by introducing the small-size EV into the car-sharing compared with a conventional gasoline vehicle.
