A Multi Degree-of-freedom Motion Device Interface for Media Installation

Abstract(in English) Physical computing which is a dialog interface to connect the person with the computer by using body operation is proposed, the concept is used for a lot of media installation works. In the production of the work that uses the concept, one of the important elements is how the position mutates and it converts it into the input parameter are enumerated. In this study, we propose an extensible multi degree-of-freedom motion device interface which can get information of spatial position of an input device. We present the example of mounting of the interface in the Gainer environment which is open source hardware, and make the application by using it; also we confirm effectiveness of proposed interface.
