Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we are developing a new methodology for teacher reflection in order to improve quality of teaching, which accords to actual instructional design processes based on the double loop model we proposed as a progressing instructional design process model focusing interaction among a teacher and students and actual instructional design processes. In our methodology, we focused on differences between the original lesson plan and the implemented actions, which are caused by interaction among a teacher and students in the lesson, specify such differences as the points to be checked by the teacher, and prompt him/her to think out modification of the next lesson plan. For this purpose, we prepare a reflection sheet for the teacher. The teacher reviews his/her lesson by confirming it, and re-plans the lesson plan. This time, we applied our proposed method to chalk talk lessons, and investigate the effectiveness. Although our methods is difficult to check attitudes and pace of speech in comparison with existing reflection method such as video reviewing, we confirmed that the teacher is able to propose more concrete ideas in order to improve the lesson plans from our reflection sheets, and re-plan the next lessons.
