Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a method to classify deciduous trees which lose leaves by features of an outward form, trunks and branches from a photo picture. First, each outward form is represented by the Fourier descriptor and divided into three types. Next, many kinds of features such as linearity of trunk and density of branches are extracted. Each feature is designed as a decision tree to classify objective deciduous trees and introduced successful classification.
