Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report studies the effect of the video GOP (Group of Pictures), video output scheme and content type on the optimum bandwidth allocation between audio and video, which maximizes QoE. We conducted experiment for this issue in bandwidth guaranteed audio-video IP transmission. In the experiment, we use either error concealment or frame skipping as the video output scheme. We select two content types; one is audio dominant, and the other is video dominant. As a result, we see that the error concealment scheme can achieve higher QoE than the video frame skipping scheme when the length of GOP is long. In addition, we show that the relation between the bandwidth allocation and QoE depends on the content types and the total guaranteed bandwidth of audio and video.
