Abstract(in English) This paper evaluates the transmission performance of single carrier based spectrum overlapped resource management (SORM) using channel estimation technique. In the SORM technique, each user's signal is divided into multiple clusters, and each cluster is allocated to an arbitrary resource blocks according to its own channel conditions only. In this case, although clusters for multiple users can be overlapped, overlapped spectrum is discriminated using a turbo equalization which has functionality of inter-symbol interference (ISI) and inter-user interference (IUI) cancellation. However, in this case, it is important that how to estimate the channel gain between each user and base station (eNB) because demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) are partially overlapped in the frequency domain according to the allocation of each user's data signal. Therefore, in this paper, assuming that we use the DMRS based on long term evolution (LTE) systems, we study three kinds of DMRS signal, i.e., cyclic shift (CS), orthogonal cover code (OCC), and interleaved frequency domain multiple access (IFDMA) based DMRS. We confirm that IFDMA, OCC or these combination is preferable for the SORM technique.
