Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new cooperative relaying scheme using the turbo compression technique for correlated sources. In decode-and-forward (DF) cooperative relaying, it is generally assumed that if a packet transmitted from the source is detected in error at the relay station, such a packet is discarded. With the proposed relaying technique, the relay station forwards the information even though it may contain decoding errors at the relay station. The destination station retrieves the information transmitted from the source, by exploiting correlation between the signals transmitted from the source and relay stations at different transmission timings. This paper evaluates the convergence property of the proposed scheme through the extrinsic transfer (EXIT) chart analysis as well as the bit error rate (BER) performance. The proposed relaying scheme using the turbo compression technique can achieve the spatial diversity gain even if the relay retransmits the information which contains errors.
