Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To find out whether the violin sounds are chaotic or not, four surrogate tests are applied to the sounds. The tests use random shuffle surrogates, phase-randomized Fourier-transform surrogates, iterative amplitude adjusted Fourier transform surrogates, and pseudo periodic surrogates (Small's test). The results show that the sounds would be nonlinear and have determinism beyond pseudoperiodicity.
