Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Holey fibers suitable for wide band transmission system were numerically studied. By taking the relation between the macro bending loss and the confinement loss into account, the usable transmission band have been clarified. Additionally, the viscosity profile controlled holey fiber utilizing the chlorine doped capillaries was fabricated and the reduction of imperfection and defect losses by relaxation of residual stresses in the core region was confirmed. |
