Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An accuracy of DOA (Direction of Arrival) is deteriorated in case of UWB (Ultra Wide Band) signal, because directional patterns of antenna elements are varied according with frequency bands. For the problem, sub-band signal processing is one of the promising techniques. In this paper, following three methods using sub-band processing are proposed for improving the estimation accuracy: (A) Averaging the estimated DOA in respective sub-bands, (B) Averaging the MUSIC spectrums of respective sub-band, (C) Averaging the beams of respective sub-band in Beam Former Method. It is shown that method (B) has most high accuracy for amplitude distortion of element pattern. Moreover, it is also indicated that method (C) is most effective in sense of computational load for phase distortion.
