Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There are two kinds of MIMO systems with spatial multiplexing method and diversity method. When the channel capacity is assumed to be a criterion, space multiplexing method is effective in high SNR environment and diversity method is effective in low SNR environment. The channel capacity improvement compared with each transmission method is expected by using both methods properly depending on the situation. We propose the selection of the transmission scheme using the second eigenvalue of the channel response matrix, and we show the effectiveness by simulation and experiment in 2×2 MIMO downlink transmission. As a result, we show that the channel capacity is improved by 10 to 20 percent in the proposal method compared to single transmission method.
