Analysis for Characteristic on 4 Ports MIMO Base Station using Polarization Antennas with Controled Beam Tilt

Abstract(in English) When existing 2 ports polarization diversity antenna was configured by arranging 2 ports antenna horizontally, we investigated the 4 ports MIMO base station antenna to 3G LTE in 1.5GHz band. At this time we proposed the new method which is to control the beam tilt angle. This method can control the channel capacity in cell area under the guaranty of 2 ports characteristic. To show the effects of proposal method, the performance was evaluated by analysis of electromagnetical field and numerical simulation with V-H polarization configuration which is major in Japan and ±45° polarization configuration. We confirmed that ±45° pol. model was better than V-H pol. model from the simulation result when proposed method was used.
