Inter-node Carrier Frequency Synchronization Using Satellite Signal for Cooperative Coherent Transmission

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an inter-node carrier frequency synchronization technique using satellite signal for cooperative coherent transmission. In the proposed synchronization, cooperative base stations acquire carrier frequency of the received signal from a geostationary satellite and convert the acquired carrier frequency into carrier frequency of a wireless communication system using the same multiplication number. Numerical results show that the presented technique can keep carrier frequency offset between the cooperative base stations less than 10^<-2>Hz. Furthermore, we show that the required inter-node carrier frequency offset for cooperative coherent transmission depends greatly on control schemes, i.e., feedback-information-based control or channel-reciprocity-based control.
