Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Basestation cooperation MIMO, also known as distributed MIMO, is a MIMO transmission technology, where some adjacent basestations cooperatively transmit signals to user terminals with multiple antennas. The basestation cooperation MIMO is effective to improve throughput performance of user terminals especially at cell-edge by means of inter-cell interference control. Further performance improvement can be achieved by joint transmission to ensure multiplexing and diversity gains. In this paper, analytical equations of channel capacity of the basestation cooperation single and multi-user MIMO are derived. The basestation cooperation MIMO channel matrix composed of channel responses with different path-losses is applied to traditional eigenmode analysis of Wishart matrix.
