抄録(英) | Single-walled carbon nanotube (CNT), owing to its theoretically estimated ultra-high third-order nonlinearity originated from the inter-band transitions of the π-electrons causing nonlinear polarization similar to other highly-nonlinear organic optical materials, can be regarded as a potential new material for optical nonlinearity medium. However, currently it is still difficult to experimentally generate efficient nonlinear effects in CNTs without adopting suitable CNTs and suitable configurations for CNT-light interaction. In this report, we describe our recent experimental results of four-wave mixing (FWM) generated in the CNTs. With CNT-light interaction in various platforms including D-shaped fiber and tapered fiber, FWM-based tunable wavelength conversion of 10Gb/s non-return-to-zero signal is achieved with good performance in the bit-error-rate measurements. |
