Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the relay, the occurrence of the contact trouble because of the solidification of the organosilicon gas (siloxane gas) that exists in the surrounding becomes a problem.A lot of examinations have been performed as for the deposition phenomenon of the siloxane gas in the past. This phenomenon is a phenomenon for the siloxane gas molecule to be decomposed by the point of contact arc, and to cause the contact trouble by depositing on the point of contact as a silicon oxide. This phenomenon is very interesting and serious. The organosilicon is requested to be excluded from the surrounding of the Tsden equipment as notes when electric contact is handled. However, the range of use of the organosilicon expands from a restriction concerning a recent chemical substance and high durability, etc., and it is very difficult to exclude it from the surrounding of the relay. Especially, the relay for the motor-dom and the consumer electronics industry occurs from cannot the specification of final user's system requirements, and ranging widely of the working condition a lot of troubles and will be forecast generation in the future. Also in a lower power region, the author has reported that the trouble occurs in the point of contact with catalysis besides the range of the electricity of the silicon trouble in a typical relay that used the Ag contact in the past. The adsorption of the organosilicon in various metal surfaces was examined in this report because it was thought that the easiness of the chemical reaction of the organosilicon generated on electric contact to generate was a factor in this phenomenon. As a result, the deposition of silicon was confirmed the absorbed amount increased by many and the temperature high in the metal of the platinum system.
