Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | MOSFETs in CMOS circuits have increased maximum operation frequency by device miniaturization. As a result, uncompressed wireless link for the high-definition television (HDTV) image is realized by CMOS circuits using 60GHz band. Moreover, several studies on CMOS circuits in the terahertz region that exceeds 100GHz (0.1THz) have been reported recently. In this report, for realizing wireless communication using the terahertz CMOS circuits, a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and a frequency divider (FD), which are basic blocks in a phase-locked loop (PLL), are introduced. Finally, technology required for terahertz CMOS circuits is discussed. |
