Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Inside the well of liquid natural gas fields, the temperature and the pressure of depth direction have been measured to improve the gas productivity. Until recently, the gas manufacturer measured the temperature and the pressure periodically at certain depth by electric sensor. However, sometimes the temperature and the pressure fluctuate periodically, since then there has been a demand to measure the whole well at once. Recently, the technology for detecting the strain and the temperature distribution using fiber sensor is studied. The temperature distribution can be measured, but the pressure distribution can not be measured yet. As a solution, we developed distributed pressure optical sensor cable which has optical fiber stranded around the substrate to measure compressive strain with BOTDA (Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analysis).
