Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are conducting on "Remote Shared Mixed-Reality" that enables multiple users in distant places to share a same Mixed-Reality space. In this paper, we propose a novel "Remote Shared Mixed-Reality" system which displays 3D human bodies of remote users. In order to realize the system, we use range data captured by a 3D-image sensor. Range data and image data that are captured in one place is sent to the other remote place. Then 3D mesh model of the user's surface is reconstructed from the range data, and texture image is applied to the mesh model. Thus 3D human body of remote user is displayed in real time. We show that the implemented system operates effectively.
