Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a method for an annotation system on an outdoor image. The system is based on image retrieval technique by local feature matching. In this system, one panorama is retrieved from a database by finding the panorama image which gets maximum number of matched local feature points with an input outdoor image as a query. Then the location of retrieved panorama is regarded as a user's location. After that, for estimating the user's view direction, the query image is projected onto the retrieved panorama, and then the region that has the most corresponding feature points to the query image is estimated. Finally, annotations of the retrieved panorama are projected onto the query image. We performed a test experiment for evaluating the performance of the proposed method.
