Abstract(in English) In this report, the impact of Ear Canal Transfer Function (ECTF) equalization on out-of-head sound localization with stereo insert earphone is discussed. Under ECTF equalized/unequalized conditions, sound image localization tests on the horizontal plane and two-sample preference tests were performed using 4 kinds of stereo insert earphones. For ECTF measurements, a very small microphone was attached to the earpiece. For Spatial Sound Transfer Function (SSTF) measurements, Eartip Microphones were newly designed. The results of sound image localization tests showed an improvement of 3-14% in the correct answer rate by ECTF equalization. The preference tests showed that the presented sounds equalized by ECTF were better for out-of-head localization regardless of the earphones used.
