Abstract(in English) | Phase difference between adjacent optical pulses is stabilized by means of stabilization of a delay interferometer (DI), which can be considered as an optical time-division multiplexed (OTDM) multiplexer. A continuous wave (CW) tunable laser, where the wavelength is different from that of the optical pulse, was used to stabilize the DI. We applied this stabilization scheme to a 160Gbit/s (4×40Gbit/s) OTDM multiplexer. In the experiment, we have confirmed that the variation of the optical spectrum for CS-RZ output was suppressed within 0.6dB with temperature change between 15℃ and 35℃. |
