Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To obtain the Cospas-Sarsat approval for 406MHz Search and Rescue (SAR) distressed beacon with GNSS device, there are many test items, and these tests must be done in according to C/S T.007 document with certification test facilities. This paper will deal with the test methods of critical test items to be done at a manufactory factory before to be done at certification facilities. Especially, for test of GNSS device on SAR distressed beacon, a GNSS simulator is needed at certification facilities. However, without GNSS simulator, a GNSS device system test is possible by using I/O port of the MMSI number of beacon. This method will reduce the cost and time for the test at manufactory factory before the test at certification facilities. Also, using 406MHz beacon receiver, RF and encoder performance test method is proposed at an anechoic chamber.
