Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Whilst modern scripting technologies are widely used in ground systems (reporting, testing, software build, configuration management, etc), the space industry has not yet capitalized on these technologies to deploy powerful operations automation support across the entire ground segment. ETRI (Korea) with supporting funding from MKE, and GMV (Spain) with supporting funding from CDTI, IMADE, and the EU FEDER funds have jointly addressed a research and development project in order to achieve automation solutions in this context. The project has addressed a full survey and analysis of ground segment mission automation requirements together with the modeling of a system concept to deploy automation in the Korean COMS mission. Generic scripting-based automation capabilities have been deployed to fulfill the specified automation needs and have been smoothly and effectively instantiated for COMS including the translation of COMS operational procedures and their testing in the final integrated system. |
