Abstract(in English) | In this report, Adaptive Symbol Skipping (AdSS) that is a collision avoidance scheme in MB-OFDM is evaluated. AdSS skips its symbol transmission when a transmitter detects signal from the other piconets. In the earlier work for AdSS, the probability of symbol loss has been analyzed in the case when Time-Domain Spreading (TDS) is not used. However, for low data-rate modes of MB-OFDM system the symbol skipping may not effective because of TDS. Therefore, in this report, the peformance of AdSS for the MB-OFDM system with TDS is evaluated through theoretical analysis and numerical results through computer simulation. |
