Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The temporal fluctuation and the spatial (geographical) fluctuations exist in the traffic of IEEE802.15.4 cluster-based wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and they influence transmission performance and power consumption. Several MACs for WSNs that adjust to the temporal traffic fluctuation have been proposed. However, they cannot always handle the spatial (geographical) traffic fluctuation. Then, we have proposed the 2-level active period control which adapts to the spatial traffic fluctuation in our previous study. However, this control achieves low energy consumption but cannot improve transmission performance. In this paper, we propose a novel 2-level active period control, which focuses on the improvement of transmission performance, and show the computer simulation results to verity the efficient of proposed control.
