Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are developing an automatic speech recognition (ASR) system to assist note-taking in the classroom. We have designed and developed a note-taking system by combining the ASR system based on LM adaptation with an editing interface which enables efficient selection and correction of the ASR results. This system was tested for a hearing-impaired student in a lecture of Kyoto University on civil engineering. Compared with the current manual note-taking, the proposed system generated almost double amount of notes with the same latency.
