Abstract(in English) | A sinusoidally phase-modulated CW light coupled into a chromatic dispersion medium is converted into an intensity-modulated light. We show that this phase to intensity modulation conversion disappears and the output light becomes CW again for specific phase modulation frequencies. Moreover, we describe a novel group velocity dispersion measurement method utilizing this phenomenon.
