Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We studied about the relationship between structural parameters of hole-assisted fiber (HAF) and the condition of mechanical splice. We reveled that the adequate penetration length of refractive index matching material can be derived by considering the V-parameter of the core, an air filling fraction, and normalized hole distance of HAF so that the splice loss increase caused by the mode-coupling can be suppressed sufficiently.
