Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In general, transient characteristics necessary for dc-dc converter are input transient characteristic, load transient characteristic and start-up characteristic. In the past, it was not possible to improve three transient characteristics simultaneously with PID control. We invented PWM Control of predicting switch timing as a new control method of digital-controlled DC-DC converter. We experimented with step-down chopper that applied this control method. As a result, when load changes suddenly, the change of the output voltage was small with 200mV. The waveform at the start-up became the first order system and was smooth.
