Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we describe optical flow computation as a mathematical programming problem that minimizes a smoother with respect to optical flow constraint. The Lagrange multiplier method allows the shift-variant coupling coefficient function for variational optical flow computation, although the traditional variational optical flow method assumes that the coefficient is constant and pre-estimated. We propose the computation method for optical flow and Lagrange multiplier function using mathematical programming. Numerical results show that the proposed method performs better than the traditional method without increasing computational time.
