Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose an accurate method for image matching in scenes including repetitive patterns like buildings, walls, and so on. Image matching in such a scene is very difficult but very important for computer vision in real environment. Here, we introduce a feature space spanned by five features of the elements of the repetitive patterns in each image. By using the feature spaces, we not only detect the repetitive pattern regions in each images but also we can find correspondences between the two images. We show the effectiveness of our method by real image examples.
