Abstract(in English) Autonomous robots have to recognize their surrounding environments. Vision is one of the suitable means for environmnt recognition and robot vision has thus been an active research area in robotics and computer vision. This paper points out important problems in visual environment recognition for robots and describes several researches that we have been performing to cope with the problems.
