Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wireless access systems employing wireless relay nodes have been studied for removing digital divides and blind zone areas. In this manuscript, we analyze the effect of finite buffer capacity on throughput and packet delay for two-hop wireless access systems both without and with network coding in which the nodes employ a slotted ALOHA protocol. We show that the buffer capacity is not relevant with the throughput for the assumed two-hop wireless network if network coding is not applied. On the other hand, we crarify that the buffer capacity has a significant impact on achievable throughput enhancement if network coding is applied.
