Abstract(in English) Most of conventional measures to treat energy consumption handle servers and network devices separately. Therefore, we proposed the integrated method to reduce the total energy consumption by the cooperation of network and endsystem. We also proposed a simple method of assigning energy consumption by all network devices to an individual user, based on the volume of traffic measured and the packet routing path in the network. This paper clarifies the information items to be exchanged for the cooperation of network and endsystem, and proposes the signaling sequence for connection establishment. The precise procedure to divide the total network energy consumption to an individual user is proposed.
