Abstract(in English) This paper introduces a spectrum sharing type cognitive radio system that NICT has developed. This system is composed of cognitive radio base station (CRBS), cognitive radio terminal (CRT), and network reconfiguration manager (NRM). The CRBS and CRT operate on vacant frequency bands from 400MHz to 6GHz by means of spectrum sensing in PHY layer and system identification in MAC layer. This system has two operation modes: autonomous mode and cooperative mode. In case of the autonomous mode, the CRBS and CRT do not communicate with the NRM, and they operate by themselves. In case of the cooperative mode, the NRM collects, make decisions, and instructs so that the wireless communications between the CRBS and CRT get available faster than the autonomous mode. This paper describes functions and behaviors of the developed system.
