Abstract(in English) We have recently serious lack of frequency resources which is less than 6GHz. One solution is an application of the heterogeneous radio network which integrates various different radio accesses. In the heterogeneous radio, the radio access is selected based on the monitored information such as signal quality, throughput, load congestion ratio, etc. Furthermore, the radio link delay of the network is also an important issue in the viewpoint of the link reliability. Different radio access in different radio environments may have different radio link delay characteristics, therefore the delay time becomes one of significant monitored information. By cooperative selection of radio accesses offered, higher reliability and efficiency can be achieved than those served by single radio access. Herein, we introduce the developed test-bed of the heterogeneous radio networks and some results obtained. This research has been conducted under the research contract organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Japan.
