Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A great variety of wireless systems are currently being used to provide diverse and sophisticated information and communication services. New wireless systems are being standardized for later implementation. In addition, a huge number of RF-ID terminals and sensors are being installed everywhere to implement the ubiquitous society. As wireless systems and wireless terminals will continue to grow in both number and variety, these will cause some problems such as the lack of the installation location of a base station and inter-system interference. To solve these problems, we propose a new flexible wireless system supporting for a wide variety of wireless systems. A software defined radio technology and a cognitive radio technology are applied to this system. This system processes all received radio wave with software on the network. We develop a prototype of the flexible wireless system to confirm its effectiveness. We also propose a high efficiency software decoding and show it effectiveness by evaluating with the prototype.
