Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the IEEE802.11a WLAN standard, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation is employed. Diversity techniques are usually utilized to overcome fading channels in OFDM system. Fractional sampling (FS) scheme is one of the diversity technique with a single antenna. Through FS, it is possible to separate multipath components and obtain diversity gain in OFDM communication. In this paper, a novel sampling point selection scheme according to the frequency response of a channel is proposed. Through the experiment the performance of the FS scheme on a IEEE802.11a WLAN system, it is evaluated. Numerical results through the experiment indicate that sampling point selection scheme according to the frequency response of a channel can achieve path diversity.
