Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Super-resolution is a method of restoring an image by extrapolating the signal beyond the band-limited receiver system. The Gerchberg-Papoulis algorithm based on the Fourier transform has not been effective, but the Gerchberg-Papoulis method based on the convolution integral can expand the signal band easily. The FREBAS transform is a scale transformation based on the convolution integral. In this study, image magnification with super-resolution effects using FREBAS transform was investigated. FREBAS allows optical scaling of images, thus we have studied the relation of a scaling parameter D of the FREBAS transform and the improvement of resolution. It was shown that spatial resolution in the central domain is improved when D is an even number and on the other hand the peripheral domain is improved when D is an odd number.
