Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The broadcasting BGM (Back Ground Music) is too loud for some elderly listeners. To cope with such a problem in aging society, NHK is researching acoustic reproduction method that will make it easier for elderly viewers to hear such speech. We are currently constructing a prototype device to assess objectively the best audio balance for the elderly. We also started to investigate an effect of spatial multi channel sound reproduction for elderly listeners. This paper describes our research on the human friendly technologies and its future perspective.
