Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report sumarrizes our paper entitled, Demonstration of negative refraction in a cut-off parallel-plate waveguide loaded with 2-D square lattice of dielectric resonators, published in the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, June 2007, for which one of the authors was awarded the 2008 IEEE MTT-S Japan Chapter Young Engineer Award. The paper proposed new type of 2-D left-handed metamaterial structures, which are composed of dielectric resonators and parallel plates. It also numerically and experimentally demonstrated negative reflaction of a designed triangular prism made of the proposed left-handed metamaterial structures.
