Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have conducted long-term transmission experiments using the 120-GHz-band millimeter-wave wireless link, and measured the effects of rain attenuation on 120-GHz band wireless link from March 2008 at NTT Atsugi Laboratories in Kanagawa. The rain rate distribution for Atsugi is in good agreement with the conditional M distributions. The average rain attenuations for 120-GHz-band millimeter-wave obtained by the annual measurement are about 9, 17 and 23dB/km when the rain rates are 20, 40 and 60mm/hr, respectively. These results agree very well with the ITU theoretical model and L-P models.
