Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The resource of the backbone network is insufficient because of an exponentially growing of the communication network. In order to ensure enough communication capacity, WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) is used. OBS is an optical switching technology that applies WDM. OBS has an advantage of band width utilization efficiency. However, contention will occur between bursts which reserve same wavelength in OBS. In this paper, to solve the contention problem, we propose a dynamic tunneling method. It forms optical circuit switching on the OBS network. Burst in the tunneling route can be transmitted without contention. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed method by computer simulations.
