Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We examine for the image registration of the whole body MRI image and the whole body CT image of a Japanese adult male. We use the rigid registration and the viscous fluid registration with mutual information. Mutual information is the similarity measure of the two images. There is a distance of 13mm in the head slice and 24mm in the abdomen slice. The result of registration, we check whether image edge occur at the same point in CT image and MRI image at sight. The internal organs to check are skin, skull, brain, eyeball, heart, subcutaneous fat, vertebra, shoulder blade, ulna, radius, pelvis, fibula, eye socket, nasal bone, trachea, lungs, abdominal cavity, thighbone and tibia. As a result of the experiment, we check that 1,656 in 1,687 slices are aligned well.
