Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Earth Science data has increased explosively by development of observational technique and progress of information technology in recent years. On the other hand, most earth science data are shared only among users with the same research field. In this paper, we propose a recommendation method for earth science data based on integrated use of Wikipedia and domain ontology. In order to identify the data, we need to specify the three factors; dataset, spatial attribute, and temporal attribute. It is difficult for users with no specialized knowledge to specify these three factors, so our method uses Wikipedia and domain ontology for expansion of the query. To obtain the relevant data, we extract the vocabulary associated with the query from Wikipedia. We use SWEET ontology to associate Wikipedia article with data set.
