Abstract(in English) | This work discusses a new approach to estimate the throughput value which a mobile terminal would transmit data with before the terminal is connected to the WLAN. If the estimated throughput value is not enough high, the terminal will not try to connect itself to the network. This autonomous admission control enhances the usability of the whole network. Hence, it eventually gives each user a feeling of high satisfaction to the WLAN service. This paper will show how to put the proposed method into practice and the effectiveness based on the results obtained by the field experiments. |
