Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Most of congestion control methods are achieved by terminal behavior such as TCP. However, they require control of the sending rate, which is not suitable for real-time services. Our approach is for a congestion avoidance function to be given to the networks. The proposed system finds impending congestion by monitoring routers, specifies the routes passing through the point of impending congestion, and performs admission control on the basis of the information. It has data about the relations between the interfaces of the routers and the routes passing through the respective interfaces. Although the data volume increases with the network scale, our estimation results confirm that this volume does not detract from the usefulness of the proposed system in large-scale networks.
